Amanda Roberts - Principal

Amanda Roberts brings over two decades of experience in charter school education to her role as Principal of Parrish Charter Academy, including more than ten years in school administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Tampa and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University.

​

Before joining PCA, Amanda served as the Principal of a highly effective charter school for seven years, where she also previously held the role of Director of Business Operations for four years. Her unique blend of instructional insight and operational expertise has made a lasting impact on the schools and communities she has led.

​

Amanda is deeply committed to academic excellence, cultivating a positive school culture, and implementing sustainable systems. Her leadership is rooted in a student-centered approach and a passion for innovation. She brings with her a wealth of experience in curriculum development, exceptional student education (ESE), project-based and experiential learning, and fostering strong community partnerships.

Beyond her professional achievements, Amanda finds her greatest joy in her family. She and her husband are proud parents of two young sons, ages one and five, who bring constant inspiration and energy into their lives.

Amanda Roberts is honored to join the PCA family and looks forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to continue building a vibrant and successful school community.

Julia Dawson – Assistant Principal of Academics

Julia was Born in High Point, NC and moved to Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 3. Julia always devoted her life to family and friends. At a young age, she realized how positive of an impact she had on others and decided that education and teaching was her true passion. She attended Clarion University in Pennsylvania and majored in Elementary Education. During those 4 years she also cheered for the University and participated in university clubs. This journey expanded her family and friend network and lead her to pursue teaching in her home state of North Carolina.

Julia has taught in various K-6 grade levels with a love for K-2. Her 10 years of classroom teaching experience within Title 1 schools in both Tarboro, North Carolina and Tampa, Florida gave her many tools to succeed in the classroom. Julia comes with a great background in both academic and behavior systems. She has served as a team lead in multiple grade levels as well as a leader on teams such as MTSS, PBIS, and served as the schools Title 1 Liaison.

 

Within the last year, she transitioned into the administrative roles of Instructional Coach and currently serves as Assistant Principal at PCA. Julia has strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills that prove to be an asset in administrative roles. Her passion for EL Education and the hands-on curriculum is one of the main aspects that drew her to Parrish Charter Academy. In her role at PCA, she is committed to not only the students and families but the teachers. Julia will do whatever is needed to make sure every child will succeed in their own way. She is dedicated to the success of Parrish Charter Academy and proud to represent Forza Management as part of their School Administration.

Nicole Ferretti – Assistant Principal of Student Services

Nicole Ferretti grew up on Long Island and moved to Parrish with her family in August of 2021. Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Dowling College located in Oakdale, NY. She went on to further her education and earned a Master of Education degree in Elementary Special Education with annotations in Severe and Multiple Disabilities. 


Nicole Ferretti started at Parrish Charter Academy as a 5th Grade Science & EL teacher for the 2021-2022 school year, the following year she became the director of the ESE Department. Nicole will be moving into the next school year as a second Assistant Principal for PCA’s growing community. Her time at PCA has already proven to have extensive experience working with students and parents and she has a good rapport with all stakeholders. Nicole has mentored new teachers to help them successfully implement the curriculum and classroom management techniques within their classroom. She has served as a member of the TAT (Threat Assessment Team) which has allowed her to provide strategies for the staff when responding to student behaviors. Lastly, she has worked with administration, staff, and students to ensure the campus continues to offer a safe and structured environment where we put learning first. 


Nicole embodies responsibility, reliability, and dependability, she exemplifies the traits that lead to positive outcomes and foster a sense of reliability that others can depend on and trust.
